Interaction Between Climate and Tectonics in the Northern Lesser Antilles Inferred From the Last Interglacial Shoreline on Barbuda Island

In the context of increasing evidence plate interface coupling variability in subduction zones, there is a need to extend short time window given by instrumental data and gather over multiple spatial scales. We hence investigated long-term topography on Barbuda island, located northern part Lesser Antilles, west Caribbean zone. East-west morphological asymmetry difference Antigua suggest regional tectonic process. As with proposed westward tilting forearc volcanic arc Guadeloupe archipelago, vertical deformation could be related plate-scale processes. Long-term uplift accumulation residual coseismic not fully recovered interseismic subsidence corresponding seismogenic segment would below Moho.
